As CEO, I am thrilled to share our vision and purpose at a time when the aviation industry faces both extraordinary challenges and unprecedented opportunities. The world is experiencing a critical shortage of skilled aviation professionals. According to Boeing’s latest outlook, the industry will need 674,000 new pilots and 716,000 new maintenance technicians globally over the next 20 years to keep pace with the rapid growth in air travel and the expansion of global fleets. In North America alone, 123,000 new pilots will be needed, and the U.S. will be short 25,000 aircraft technicians by 2028. 

This is a call to action for anyone considering a future in aviation.

The demand for talent is being driven by several factors: a wave of retirements among experienced professionals, the rebound and growth of global air travel post-pandemic, and the expansion of routes and fleets to meet the needs of over 4.5 billion annual passengers. At the same time, the aviation sector is evolving rapidly, with new technologies, sustainability initiatives, and a growing emphasis on diversity and inclusion. Yet, despite this dynamic environment, many talented individuals—especially women and those from disadvantaged backgrounds—still face barriers to entering the field.
